NanoBrook 90Plus Particle Size Analyzer Effective in Poorna Chandrodayan Research

Anoop Austin from Rumi Herbals’ R&D Centre, presented a study that demonstrated mercurial and gold preparation in nanoparticle form. The study was entitled "Chemical Characterization Of A Gold And Mercury Based Siddha Sasthric Preparation-Poorna Chandrodayan".
Poorna chandrodayan (PC) is an elixir of mercury and gold widely used in Siddha Medicine for various weakening diseases. This study was conducted to evaluate the content of gold, mercury, and sulfur in the preparation, which was vital for the chemical standardization method of this formulation. PC bioabsorption was also analyzed with modern techniques to ascertain the content, potency, and validation of the elixir.
